Never expect anything in return for being part of the Church. Instead, just feel blessed when you are blessed. Give thanks to God because every good and perfect gift comes from Him. People are just people. They will fail you.
So often I’m amazed by people who believe that mankind should “follow their hearts”.
“No, people should ignore the bible, and organized religion – and just follow the heart.”

Today the crisis is the earthquake in Nepal. By the time you’re reading this, there will be another one somewhere else, or perhaps a hurricane, tornado, or other natural, or man-made disaster. All of these are tragedies and signs of a planet that is not at peace.
A lot of decent and moral people, along with some not so decent, will always feel compelled to assist the helpless and hurting in these dark days. And we all should. We all should do what we can to help those in need, those in crisis. That is never in question.
