“God is sovereign and He’s a God of love and mercy and compassion in the midst of suffering.” --Rev. Billy Graham 09/12/2001

If our lives had not been lost, if our souls would not need saved, there would be no suffering in life. Suffering is a result of worldwide, personal sin. One man’s sin brings another man’s suffering alongside his own pain. If I lay dormant and docile, the result is a weakened state around me. We must realize that our spiritual state impacts our natural surroundings and lives. Suffering in life is inescapable. However, we can reduce the amount of potential suffering inflicted throughout the world. Suffering is not God’s doing, but the work of man's sin.
